Life
I married when I turned 19, my husband, Duane Abbott, was between tours of duty in Viet Nam. In a short time he returned to Viet Nam for 2nd tour of duty and returned safely again. We had 5-year-old identical twin girls and a 20-month-old girl when we all were hit by a drunk driver and my family were all killed. I survived with multiple physical & emotional injuries. College
I started off going to college at Western Michigan University but my heart wasn't into it. I had a job I loved in Lansing so I went back to that, got an apartment, and went to school at Lansing Community College. I attended many classes there over the years but not for a particular degree. I did get published as a result of some writing classes.
